“Collapse” is an ongoing series of grassroots screenings of ”La Camioneta” organized in the United States and Guatemala, wherein audiences ride buses to the event and engage in post-screening conversations that continue on their ride home. Screenings are held in both art and non-art venues, including cinemas, public parks, city streets, and hotel conference rooms. Audiences have ranged from schoolchildren and K-12 teachers to bus drivers, migrants, residents, and casual passers-by who stumble upon the experience. Many of these events have been staged in the very communities depicted in the film.
